Our Steps Program is designed to encourage members to build health savings. While the program is a simple way members can earn HSA dollars, it also allows them to maintain an active lifestyle.

Why Walk?

Walking has shown to have a large variety of health benefits for people of all ages and fitness levels. To name a few, these benefits include: boosts in energy, easing of joint pain, improved mood, a strengthened heart, and more.

And, to encourage our members to lead healthy lives, we reward members participating in our Steps Program by contributing to their health savings accounts (HSAs).

How does it work?

You can earn $1 towards your HSA for every day that you walk 8,000 steps or more, up to 20 days per month. That’s $20 per month, or $250 a year (if you count the extra $10 we’ll give you for meeting your goal the month of December). Your spouse can also participate, meaning you could earn up to $500 in your HSA just for walking!

How to get started

To get started, you’ll first need to pick a device to track your steps. Possible tracking devices include, but are not limited to: Fitbit, Garmin, and Apple Watch. Don’t have a device? Just call us, and we’ll send you a free Garmin device and help you get set up.

To track your steps progress, you can use your member dashboard or our mobile app. In your member dashboard or mobile app, you’ll also be able to see how much you’ve earned to-date. With that said, the money that you earn from participating will be contributed towards your HSA each month!
